Pacific Aviation Museum

We took a quick drive down the street to Ford Island's Pacific Aviation Museum. It was a nice morning excursion. They had a movie about the attack on Pearl Harbor, some planes we could check out, and a simulator to pretend to fly a B-52. Andrew really liked the simulator.

See any resemblance?

Maybe a future Top Gun?

Funny story: See the wings on Andrew's shirt? He was given those by a WWII pilot/Pearl Harbor survivor (approximate age 107) docent that was giving us a tour around the museum (we were the only people in the museum). When we went to leave, Andrew had a sad face, and when I asked him what was wrong, he told me he wanted to give the wings back because he didn't get to fly any of the planes. He said, "I'm not a real pilot, so I can't have these wings." I told him he had to be able a little taller to fly a real plane and that seemed to make it ok.
